Notting Hill Gate Modernisation project was part of Transport for London (TFL) Investment Programme. The overall project works included for new or refurbished wall, floor and ceiling finishes, through the station; sensitive restoration of the District and Circle line platforms and train shed roof (Grade 2 listed); enhanced lighting throughout the station; and more ticket gates.
Henny Limited were contracted by YJL Infrastructure Limited to undertake the modernisation at the station.
The works commenced in June 2009 and completed in July 2011.
Henny’s initial contract works were to undertake the general builders works package including the break out and dismantling of disused tenancy & platform surfacing works and a modified ticket hall layout. Henny’s works included for the removal and making good to wall and floor tiles with new ceramic tiling throughout the subway entrances, deep-level passageways and central line tube platforms. All works were undertaken during nights or weekend closures such that the station was kept open to the public for the duration of the works.
Our works developed over the course of the works to include for painting, mirror installation, Matwell installations, aco drainage works, escalator tray infill and brickworks.
Upon completion of the project our at Notting Hill Gate Station amounted to £3million.
