Threadneedle Street is a famous, well-known street, in the heart of the City of London, home to financial institutions, offices, restaurants and shops. No.62 is situated next to the UK’s central bank, the Bank of England and opposite The Royal Exchange. The building is easily accessible from Bank Underground Station and just a short walk from Liverpool Street Station.
Previously used by a large bank, No.62 has recently been fully renovated, refurbished, and converted to provide a sophisticated, contemporary office space delivering a high-quality working environment for its users.
Henny Ltd was contracted to refurbish and update interior floors, walls and ceilings, and associated fixtures and fittings. The scope of this work included the ground floor entrance foyer, meeting space and reception area, the first, second and third floor lift lobbies, and a basement amenity complete with vanity area, shower and changing cubicles.
White and grey Terrazzo cladding was used extensively throughout – floors, stairs, ramps, walls, curved skirtings, vertical supporting beams and columns, and a fully integrated reception desk. All door furniture, lighting and electrical hardware was also renewed.
Terrazzo cladding is a technologically innovative material, manufactured using marble aggregate and cement, and used extensively as an interior and exterior cladding material. It provides an elegant and popular cladding solution offering a smooth, long-lasting polished finish.
