Oxford Street department store Selfridges has recently added a new destination bakery to its prestigious London food hall. The new bakery offers a wide variety of delicious bread from classic sourdoughs to seeded batches, and delicious pastries which are freshly baked in store every morning.
In-house bakery products are available alongside a variety of selected items from some of London’s best independent bakeries including St John’s Bakery, Sally Clarke and Karaway.
The newly refurbished and expanded bakery is three times larger than the previous on-site bakery and is located next to Selfridges Pop Up Kitchen and Little Moons’ Pic ‘n’ Mix counter.
As a trusted partner, Henny Ltd, who have worked on previous projects with Selfridges, were contracted by construction and engineering services specialist ISG to undertake works on the new bakery at Selfridges.
In keeping with the standards of quality expected by Selfridges, Henny completed all project work using high quality materials and an exemplary fit and finish at all times. Tight working timescales were maintained to ensure there was no disruption to the existing retail environment.
The following work was undertaken during the bakery refurbishment:
– stone column refurbishment
– ceramic tiling to walls and stone columns
– installation of stone cladding on retail counters
– installation of amtico and vinyl floor finishes
The collaborative refurbishment project for Selfridges new bakery was successfully completed and re-opened on time.
